December is a very special month for me, it’s the month when I first saw the light, about 35 years ago!
Unfortunately, and generally speaking, people would feel MORE the reality around them via pain, sorrow and unfortunate incidents… If you take a look at any movie, where the actor is surprised and is in a state not believing his or her eyes, it’s always that they would ask another person to PINCH them so they are confident they are not dreaming 🙂 … Right?
When you fall in love with someone and you lose that person, you most of the time need to have a huge GRIEF in order to feel that you Loved them that much?
When your Birthday is finally there, you would start by counting the days, months and years and maybe reflect on the good, the bad and the ugly. And ask yourself, what’s next? If you’re one of the lucky ones who close their eyes while blowing off the candles surrounded by their loved ones and feeling completely satisfied with their life, then you’re applying this week’s tip without reading it…. Cause the past statement you just read is as subjective as it gets 🙂
Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!
~ Dr. Seuss
The Thing is that, we generally feel “old” or “older” with the number of unfortunate incidents we’ve survived in our life, so you may look at a 20 years old, and would think of him as if he was 40 due to lots of experience he had to pass through, yet you may look at a 70 years old and feel he’s still 45 due to the energy and LIFE he still has?
Does the above ring a bell for you? How Old are you? How old would you BE if you didn’t know how old you are?
This week’s tip is about you, and how YOU should value the life in your days, and not the days in your life…
You can start by asking yourself:
- When was the last time I did something for the first time?
- If today was my last day, how would I want to spend it?
- AM I Content with my life?
- What did I learn recently?
- Do I bare grudges against anyone?
- Have I expressed my love towards family and friends?
- Am I spending quality time with those who matters?
- Do you remember someone you hated 10 years ago? does it matter now?
- …
If you do make asking yourself the right questions about life every once and a while, you’d be reaching your birthday in a different state of mind… so don’t just count your years, make your years count!
Don’t just count your years, make your years count.
~George Meredith
Have a nice week!
